Youngjun Chang

Creative Technologist & Immersive Experience Maker

Youngjun Chang is a creative technologist based in London. He studied Exhibition Design at Kaywon School of Art and Design in Korea and later pursued Theatre Design at UAL Wimbledon College of Art.

​

he worked for the Seoul-based digital media production company Dotmill.ltd for two years as a creative technologist. He then returned to the UK and currently works for the multimedia studio 'immersive-me' in London in the same capacity.

 

During his two years in South Korea, he managed technical planning and media server building for various projects, including digital theme parks, the DDP Seoul Light media facade, and multiple spaces across galleries and national R&D projects. He also directed a 100m media panorama and immersive exhibition for the Arab festival at COEX, a culture and retail hub in Seoul.

 

With a deep understanding of the relationship between visual storytelling and the immersive art, Chang has collaborated with national institutions and commercial enterprises, with his digital artworks showcased at venues such as the Tate Exchange, Chicago, and Berlin, in collaboration with international artists.


Chang joined immersive-me and worked on various immersive and interactive multi-sensory projects, including Outernet x Dove, Harrods x Valentino, Selfridges x Charlotte Tilbury, Spotify x Ice Spice, and projects with the Science Museum, VJing for Boiler Room and Printworks, live stage for a band 'James' at O2, Glastonbury and projects with automotive companies such as Nissan and McLaren.

He also produced and created the 2023 Seoul Light Festival, from its narrative conception to its technical execution.

 

Chang has also contributed to the education sector by organising lectures and workshops across universities, including Wimbledon College of Art, Central Saint Martins, Creative Computing Institute, K-arts University, and Ewha University. He leverages his expertise to bridge architectural narratives with digital technologies to
reimagine mixed-reality experiences.
